What began in 1960 as a single operator pest control company has grown to a second generation partnership steeped in tradition, enlivened by innovation.

In 1960 Marv Bergmann founded United Exterminating as a sole proprietorship. Through hard work, inteligent service and excellent customer care the newly hatched enterprise began to grow. By 1969, there was room for a partner in the business. John "Jack" Bona, childhood friend of Marv, joined United Exterminating as a partner. Together, the friends grew to service the residential, commercial and industrial communities of King, Pierce and Snohomish counties.

By the year 2000, United Exterminating had developed an outstanding reputation. Its faithful clientelle had grown to an impressive level and the second generation of owners had been groomed to carry the mantle. In its lengthy history of excellence, United Exterminating had not a formal complaint, insurance claim, nor had it been a party to legal action. In that year, Sean Bergman, Mr. Bergman's son purchased Mr. Bona's share of the company which assured that his father's founding principles would continue to guide the venure. In 2001, Dan Huie, a six year employee and long time family friend of the Bergmanns, purchased the remaining portion of the business from the Bergmans.

Today, operating as United Pest Solutions, Inc., both principals and technicians continue the tradition of offering superior service products to the Puget Sound community. Through continuing education in pest management practices, United Pest Solutions innovates its services and offers the most effective solutions with the least risk to its clients, their pets and the environment. It is this attention to excellent service and the building of relationships that has allowed us to enjoy such longevity and keeps us looking to the future.
